It's easy being Green

The recent changes to the U-shop check out area not only provide an efficient way to service huge crowds it also promotes Villanova’s message of "It's easy being green". Customers are taking advantage of our “bag your own” policy which drastically reduces the need for plastic bags. Another “Green” improvement is to allow the students to use their book bags at check out thus eliminating the need for plastic bags altogether. According to Ed Castrege, Asst. Director of Operations, we no longer require as many plastic bags as in the past. We have been able to dramatically cut back on our orders so far and we do not anticipate ordering again for the remainder of this year.
